History of Basketball

1.    James Naismith invented basketball

2.    Basketball was invented at Springfield, Massachusetts

3.    Basketball was invented in 1891

5.    Basketball was invented because in Springfield, Naismith was faced with the problem of finding a sport that was suitable for play inside during the Massachusetts winter for the students at the School for Christian Workers
