Student Success Statement: Henry David Thoreau

Student Success Statement
“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
Henry David Thoreau

Reflection: What I think Henry David Thoreau is trying to say in this quote is everything else fails or can fail but the only thing that can fail is goodness. Therefore, if you are a good person you can’t fail.

World Records

World Records
1. Tallest Man- Living, Oldest Gymnastics, Highest Scoring Average in NBA
2. Sultan Kosen, Johanna Quuas , Wilt Chamberlain
3. 9 February 2011, 12 April 2 012, Unknown
4. The one world record that fascinates me the most is the highest scoring average in NBA.
5. I am fascinated with this because me as a basketball fan and basketball player it seems impossible that anyone can score 50.4 points per game average.

6. Yes I would like to break a record. What I would want the record to be is make the most points in the NBA.

Student Success Statement: Theodore Hesburgh

Student Success Statement
“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular; you make them because they are right.”
Theodore Hesburgh

Reflection: I think that Theodore Hesburgh is telling us that when we make decisions we make them because they are right. There is no other way why we make decisions.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse
Duties and Responsibilities: Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight
Salary: $41,540
Education: High school diploma, bachelor’s degree in nursing, National Council of State Boards of Nursing exam

Student Success Statement: Joseph Smith

Student Success Statement
“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound (not good).
Joseph Smith

Reflection: What I think the quote means is that we have to make popular sound good and not make popular sound bad.
